VIVID Women are Vibrant in Service

Provided here is information on some the project opportunities provided through VIVID Women.  Feel free to contact our office for more details.

The Dorcas House is a Missionary Commissary located at Potomac Park Conference Center in Falling Waters, WV. It is set up like a miniature store.

Nationally appointed full time world missionaries from the Potomac Network are eligible and encouraged to "shop" for needed and wanted basic household items at no cost to them. The U.S. Potomac Network missionaries are also eligible and encouraged to “shop” every other year. Our network widows are also blessed with an item from the Dorcas House each year at Christmas.

The generous ladies of the Potomac Network strive very hard at keeping the Dorcas House supplied. At the beginning of every year, each section in the Network is assigned a "room" in the house. Donations to the Dorcas House are usually made in July at Missions Day - however, donations are welcome at any time throughout the year.

The Dorcas House is a tremendous blessing to our missionaries. We wish you could experience the excitement and every heartfelt expression of gratitude as the families "shop" at no cost.

We want our missionaries to have the very best we can possibly give them, so we only accept items that are new and of a good quality.
Use your imagination when buying or making items to donate! We have given you a general list of what is needed and what we have in abundance, but just use this as a guideline.

If you have any questions about the Dorcas House, or to donate to the items, please contact Linda Webb at (703-753-0300) or

NOTE: The 2018 Dorcas House assignments correspond to the Potomac Ministry Network newly formed regions. (The sections listed above are no longer relevant.)  To view a list of churches by region, click here.

LOVE LINE is a program set up to remember, and recognize Nationally Appointed full time World Missionaries on their birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas. Any funds given above the minimum necessary to carry out the program will be used to meet emergency situations encountered by a missionary family.

Currently, this program is funded by individual women, Women’s Ministries groups, and churches in the Potomac Ministry Network. Each missionary family member is given a monetary gift on their birthday. Each missionary couple is given a monetary gift on their anniversary. Each missionary family is given a monetary gift for Christmas.

We ask that participants who give to this program contribute at least $24.00 annually (that is only $2.00 a month). Contributors to LOVE LINE will receive a quarterly newsletter from the Women’s Office with prayer requests, praise reports, and other updates from the missionaries, as well as a personal giving statement with a “total year-to-date” giving amount.

Consider joining LOVE LINE today, and be apart of sending LOVE all around the world.

Each year, Money for Ministry provides funding to specific projects in four categories. The 2018 disbursements will be:

WORLD MISSIONS - Area: Southern Asia. Project: Tutoring/Developmental Center for Girls.
US MISSIONS - Area: Sound trailer & outreach funds for Chi Alpha start up at Frostburg University. Project: Potomac Network Church Plant.
POTOMAC CAMP MINISTRIES - Project: Remodeling of Men's/Women's bathrooms & hallway by Conference Room in the back of the Tabernacle.
VIVID WOMEN OFFICE - Administrative Expenses.

VIVID Women honor our minister's widows by sending cards and encouragement through the year, and an extra special Christmas Box to brighten their holidays.  Carolyn Wilson leads this vital ministry.

In cooperation with Potomac Men's Ministries - women and mature teens are invited to join on these projects.  A great way to make new friends while making a major difference for churches around the Potomac Ministry Network.  View more info here.

Each year, VIVID Director Linda Webb leads an all-female team to partner with one of our Potomac missionaries. View more info here.
