Extreme Church Makeover
Sep

to Sep 14

Extreme Church Makeover

Extreme Church Makeovers is a ministry sponsored by Potomac Men’s Ministries and is led by Rev. Casey Jones who serves as its director. This ministry was established in 2009, from a conviction that, no church should have to suffer thru dilapidated building issues by themselves or a pastor working to do repairs and remodeling alone. Applying the principles used in short term oversea missions’ trips, the ministry was born.

These are three-day intensive projects that seeks to assist and enable the local church to fulfill its God-given goal to reach the lost in their communities. We know that for a church to be relevant, its facilities need to be inviting and functional. Potomac Men’s Ministries desires to come along pastors and their congregations, helping them to address building concerns and to provide hope in sometimes overwhelming building needs.

These projects also give our men an opportunity to serve beyond their local church, putting their talents and abilities to work for the kingdom.

Whether you can come for a day or for all three, we are always in need of both tradesmen and laborers. While being sponsored by Men’s Ministries these are coed projects that mature students and ladies are encouraged to help.

If you have a heart to serve, please consider joining us on our next project September 12-14 at Zion Assembly of God in Maugansville, MD.

Let’s Make a Difference!

Presented by Rev. J. Gary Butler, this free event is the cutting-edge product of three years of doctoral-level study and research; the analysis of nearly 200 high-quality biblical, theological, and leadership books and resources; and informed by over fifty years of practical pastoral ministry experience in the local church and network leadership.

Here's what you will learn in three rapidly-moving sessions:

  • Hour OneExplore the impact of today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous culture—learn why leaders must develop new skills to take advantage of opportunities and sidestep dangers. See the rapidly-changing culture as a missional opportunity to be seized instead of a problem to be solve

  • Hour Two: Learn the basics of adaptive leadership—a recently developed approach to dealing with rapidly emerging new problems with no apparent answers. Adaptive strategies are paired with learning to recognize the essential role of the Holy Spirit and the importance of spiritual discernment in times of conflict, disruption, interruption, and surprise.

  • Hour Three: Learn how to develop tempered resilience and survive the inevitable sabotage. Learn techniques for surviving sabotage and the importance of becoming a principled non-anxious leader who starts with conviction, stays connected, stays calm, and stays the course.

The seminar will feature PowerPoint presentations, handout notes, interactive discussion and dialogue, and the completion of a brief pre-session and post-session assessment tool. Click below to save your spot today!
